Zion National Park Expedition

We made it back from Utah! We flew into Vegas and trekked all the way to Springdale for a few days of hiking and fun in the sun (I got sunburnt on my shoulders). Not much to say other than I loved having no cell service and it truly felt like we went off the grid. We got caught in the rain and saw a lot of wildlife. I feel like it has been SO long since I was truly able to get away, and working from home for the past few years has made me extremely out of shape. Being back in the city and logging back on to social media feels overwhelming in a way that makes my head hurt. There is a river that flows through Zion National Park that I walked along on my last morning there. My boyfriend slept in and I took the bus to the Temple of Sinawava and I just stood by the river for a long time. I decided that if I could be this immersed in nature and have a cup of coffee by this very river every morning before work, I would definitely be a happier, more rounded out person. But like the river, life flows on, and we all must go on to the next thing. The standout moment from our trip was a serendipitous visit to The Bit and Spur bar and restaurant where there was a live band playing and we drank and danced and laughed. I also got a really fun and touching tarot card reading there that made me feel warm and fuzzy inside! If you ever go to Zion, the Bit and Spur is the hot spot in town, and the lights in their backyard are so pretty, the pictures I took don't do it justice.

My next stop next week is Scotland!

Some pics for ya:

That's all for this entry! Love you and I'll see you on the next one! :)
